US Republicans: still world leaders in unbridled bare-faced hypocrisy.
Can we extrapolate by this point that the more strident and unwavering a US Republican is against such things as Gay Rights, or Abortion, or whatever, the more likely it is that he'll be found one night wearing a maid's uniform and a feather duster up his *rse, in the company of several large naked sweaty men, claiming all the while that he thought it was a fancy dress party, you told me this was a fancy dress party!
Early Wednesday morning, State Sen. Roy Ashburn (R-Calif.) was pulled over and arrested for drunk driving. Sources report that Ashburn -- a fierce opponent of gay rights -- was driving drunk after leaving a gay nightclub; when the officer stopped the state-issued vehicle, there was an unidentified man in the passenger seat of the car.
