It's good to see that our esteemed ferret-leader has moved us beyond the point where the Government is burdened with such things as assets.
After T3 and Medibank are sold, and all the roads sold off toparasite companies "Public-Private Partnerships" to be tolled, and all public space is in the hands of developers, and Murdoch and Packer have bought up the media National Opinion to their satisfaction, and, and, and, then we will have a government unburdened by anything save the power to write whatever laws the corporations tell them to, and either 1) a mind-boggling debt which it is up to the taxpayers to pay the interest of, or 2) a surplus which it seems that, mysteriously, the government has no responsibilities left to spend anywhere.

You have to feel for Beazley, though - poor guy, losing his brother at the same time that he loses the Labor leadership position.

I prefer Labor anyway because they're not as anti-social security as Howard is, and I'm on it, heh.
And at least we won't be going down 'with the US' but on our own.
