Re: my post on Little Johnny's twisted excuse for 'logic'.

I wasn't making it up. For the first time I have found a transcription and report of what he has said on the media, apart from what I heard on the radio. And what I heard on the radio there is no transcription for, nor was there a download of that broadcast available.

But now, there it is, Howard's contempt for all thinking Australians, in black and white.

On the bright side, a bunch of Islamic leaders have acused Little Johnny of acting inconsistently with his Australian values by harbouring the Exclusive Brethren, who don't believe in democratic elections, the separation of Church and State, and a whole bunch of other things. It's a beautiful media move, and made my snarf my coffee, but I don't seem to be able to find a link at the moment.

Presumably the "modern understanding" is the one that vindicates Howard and Bush, while the old-fashioned one doesn't. This way, people opposed to the invasion of Iraq (or just the prosecution of the War on Terror in general) are clearly living in the past and unable to face the reality of the modern world.

Unfortunately Howard is firmly in the reality-based community and happily exploits the apathy-based and self-interested-based communities. That's the singel most frustrating aspect of his last few years at the top - he's demonstrably lying and no-one cares.
