catsidheA report came out saying that the War in Iraq has made Terrorism more likely.
I just heard RatBastard Johnny on the radio saying essentially that "nu-huh, remember Bali happened before we invaded Iraq, and so did the first World Trade Center bombing, so we didn't trigger any Terrism or nuffink."
What the FUCK sort of brain-dead dribbling vegetables does he fucking take us for?
The report doesn't say that the invasion of Iraq created Terrorism ab initio, and it is stupid to claim that it did. But, hang on, Fuckwit Little Johnny is the only person to have said that. He's furiously fighting a strawman. Because what the report says is that the Iraq Invasion has made Terrorism worse, more widespread, and more likely. Not that Saddam's downfall somehow invented the very concept.
What he said is basically:

I've taken some pills now. I feel much better.
But the question remains: Howard is treating us all as stupid sheep, if he thinks that that half-arsed excuse for an excuse is in any way acceptable. And yet, the people who vote him in, the poor people who think that he will somehow make their lives better by removing all their protections and rights, who loath and despise Unions while happily relying on their award conditions, who cannot abide bleeding-heart lefties but are quick to complain to A Current Affair if their rights are infringed, who support tougher everything, more police powers, less rights to complain, or to protest, except when it's them who has something to say.
It is people like these, in their millions, who have given Howard the power to do what he does. And what he does is to treat them with the contempt they deserve. And the rest of us with it.
Maybe we need the Thai solution. They seem to be doing pretty well by it so far.

Claim: "Your actions in beating up this (upleasant but innocent) person has made the world a more violent place, not least because a lot of people are very upset with the way you beat this guy up just because you couldn't find this other guy who actually did the crime. And they want to beat you up now."No-one has said that the Iraq war created terrorism, just that it has exacerbated it. Except for Johnny, of course, setting up a ridiculous claim which no-one had made so that he could give it just ridicule, hoping that people would think that this was what people like me actually have said.
Riposte: "Nuh-hunh, I can't have made the world more violent, because, see, there was violence around long before I beat up this guy, and that other guy has been beating up people for years anyway.
