The tone is all wrong, but the basic premise is about right.
I just had someone walk in and complain that he was hot... It took a couple of attempts to wring the facts that he was tired, hot, dizzy, and had a headache out of him. The initial assumption was that because he was hot, I could (and should) somehow magically fix it. Because we do that here. All the time. Especially when the ambient temperature is somewhere in the mid to high 20s.
Hmmm... maybe I should have detached them for him to see if that would correct the obviously heinous symptoms of 1)living in a place that is currently hot, 2)attempting to sleep in a place that is not cooling down much at night, and 3)dealing (which has inherent risks such as encouraging postural hypotension with associated hot flushed and dizzy spells).
