Mortality at a distance

I just read an email which says that the principal of Melbourne High School has just died of cancer. The funeral is 11:30 tomorrow (Thursday the 8th) in the Memorial Hall.

Hell, it's not even that I knew him, but the news kinda knocked me back for a second. People do die. People even die in office. I don't know why this has touched me as it has. Maybe I'll figure it out in a quiet moment.

Hmm. I got the news too. Vale Risky Ray... By all accounts he improved as he went along, and was nice enough to talk to at that 10 Year Reunion.

Were you planning on attending the memorial service?
