There is, reportedly, a rise in anti-Semitism in Europe. I say ‘reportedly’, because I have not seen any numbers on this, only repeated and increasingly alarmed declarations over the years that this is so. Usually from people or organisations who don't mention an increase of attacks on Muslims and Gypsies over the same time and in the same places. And those people have an explanation for why there are more attacks on Jews in the street, graffiti on synagogues, and desecration of Jewish graves.

It's the Left's fault. For enabling Muslims.

Wait... what?
“In Austria's recent general election, nearly 30 per cent of voters backed extremist right-wing parties.”
And they don't mean right-wing like the US GOP, or the Australian Liberals. They mean right-wing like real, actual, not metaphoric Nazis.

Come on! How can you not love a group whose idol was banned from Xbox Live, had problems with Vista, had his car stolen, lost big in the bursting of the housing bubble, and had real issues with the Nikon D3x?

...and that might have been a worry until their Paramount Leader Jorg Haider crashed and died in an auto accident. On his way to meet his longtime gay lover.

We're not talking about a group of people known for clear and rational introspection, here. What's the bet they started retconning Haider as not really that important after all, before the wreckage had scraped to a halt?

They've invested their very identities in the philosophy, and Haider was no Hitler. He would desperately liked to have been, no doubt, but ...
