... but on mature reflection I suspect that she is simply an unscrupulous opportunist who, like most politicians, will do anything and say anything to sound like they care about things. Could she really be that stupid? Well, yeah, maybe. But I am now inclined to think it's one of those Hey we'll do stuff!!! moments when they have absolutely not the slightest intention to attempt anything so stupid. As long as the illusion of caring lasts until polling day, then that's all that matters....
