Back when I were a lad in the 80s and they were trying to introduce "the Australia Card", (and gods!, how Weasel Howard must rue the fact that that brand name has already been tested on the public,) there was a nice piece of graffiti somewhere between Ringwood and Blackburn which said: "You have an identity. You don't need a card to prove it."
