Two examples of the difference between Citizens and Subjects

Commonwealth fights Hicks legal action.   Because subjects have no rights except what the government chooses to give them.

Court upholds Jovovic deportation.   Because it is entirely legal for the government to absolve itself of any responsibilities except those that it wants.


In summary, the government decides whether its subjects have rights or not, and has the final and binding say on whether it has any responsibilities to anyone or not.

Heads they win, tails we lose.
