Yes... and No.
Jun. 7th, 2005 02:07 pmThis article in The Age talks about a group on NineMSN called 'Rape Club', which was about... well... raping people. Not very nice. Police will be chasing down the members, just in case some of the talk wasn't just fiction.
All well and good, but I was stunned by the next bit of 'investigative journalism':

Well done, guys.
All well and good, but I was stunned by the next bit of 'investigative journalism':
Ninemsn closed the online group after being alerted to its presence by a media inquiry yesterday.Does anyone else see a problem there? Apparantly it is now impossible to talk about Ministry albums or Nirvana songs. (OK, so I haven't looked to see if the last group named is about the eponymous Nirvana song, but given the one before it, I thought it at least an even bet.)
However, even though ninemsn shut down Rape Club, there were at least four other rape-related online groups operating on ninemsn's website today.
These were "No Rape No Glory", "Whitepower/rape rock", "Ministry's Land of Rape and Honey" and "Rape me".
Some of these online groups feature sexually-explicit photos, Nazi symbols and self-mutilation images.
