I think they want to be understood. Except for Morrison. As you say, he is completely indifferent to what anybody thinks of hm. Humans aren't real to him. And he still thinks he did a good job!

Malvolio in budgie smugglers!! As you know, I don't think he's a bad man. But there: I met him and listened to him talk *before* he went bonkers. Now? Mad as a box of spanners. How does Malcolm come across? While he was the most personable of the trio (and that really isn't saying a lot), he was arguably the worst PM of them all. NBN? Murray-Darling basin? Gee, sport, you did well there, didn't you? Massively expensive cockups, both of them. As PJK said: He's brilliant; he's utterly fearless; and he has no judgement. I don't often agree with anything PJK said, but he was right on the money with Malcolm.
