This is from CIIC vol 1, published 1945. Macalister got out vol 2 in 1949 before dying in 1950 at the age of 80.
As far as Ogham inscriptions go, the CIIC is the first place to look, and he did archaeological work in Palestine in the 1900s, but I don't know that he ever actually had met a deaf person.
