It just struck me that this is the plot of too many L&O:SVU episodes. And that they do not seem to be on their face, therefore, exaggerations for dramatic effect.
So, an extra special yay for human common-feeling and helping a stranger in need, even if they don't know it (yet).
And a big loud strong SERIOUSLY, HUMANITY, WTF? for its need.
