Friends have urged me to see Big Bang Theory, with special reference to Sheldon. Well, now I've seen it.

And yes, it's hilarious. “Hello, Oompa-Loompas of Science!”

No. You are not Sheldon. I know some Sheldons and you are not one of them.

Given your descriptions of your internal state, and having met and interacted with you a few times in trying circumstances (crowded halls, fractious children etc) you do really well at pulling off a "smart, affable chap" imitation.
